Library Services

1. Reference and Research services: An inquiry and literature search service is available to all Users


2. Reading Services: A conducive environment for reading & private study.


3. Loan Service: We have a collection of over 500 publications in varying formats; Books, Reports, DVD's, Kindles, Gazettes, etc. These can be lent out as per details below:
   • UCC staff can borrow 5 items at a time for a period of 2 months. The loan period can be extended for one month upon request.
   • Non UCC staff can only use the library resources within the library. No checkouts are allowed


4. Electronic and online web based resources: One can access the vast electronic resources that include eBooks, journals, DVDs among other E-formats


5. Selective Dissemination of Information: The Resource Centre collects and disseminates topical information on themes related to the communication sector.


6. Current Awareness Service : This is when newly received publications are indexed, organized and availed to users.


7. Library Catalogue - OPAC: To find out what the library holds, Staffs/users can access and search the Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) which also acts as an index to the collection in the Information Centre.


8. Partnerships and collaborations: In partnership with the departments, the Information Centre provides support in coordinating and managing exhibitions and information desks. Support is also extended through outreach services.
